Dance

In the fields of endless grass of men
Greatest feats of humankind is flowers
Blossom greatly, yet petals fall
In midst of thorns and long nights
Grace of God brings forth the sun
In the words of the Lord bring light
Bless the Lord that we have ears to hear
In the promise that we will be kept
Away from the death of the world
In His endless love for us we are saved

So in the pains of the worldly realm
And the falls that may break my heart
Tis my sinew and bones that shred
In the chilling wind and sinister shred
Yet I will dance and praise the Lord
In midst of my pain and suffering
For He is Good and my salvation
Death and debilitation I fear not
For I know the night will end
And the light of day He will send.

End

The curtain drops as the actors bow;
Fire whispers her last as the wax wanes;
The sun hides as the night comes now;
Lands sink slowly in the land of Danes.

Kings fall. Governments topple.
Rocks crumble. Snowmen melt.
Dragon slain. Man breathes his last.
Soldiers die. An apple drops.

Some things are meant to go.
Some things are meant to end.
Here is my last insane soliloquy.
Stab me, darling. Say our goodbye.

Some things are meant to go.
Some things are meant to end.
As my life ends, I pray in my tome.
Thank God almighty, I'm coming home.

Au revoir.

Au revoir.

Au revoir.

Some things are meant to go.
Some things I wished didn't end.
But some things aren't meant to be.
Some things are meant.

To end.

Rain

Drip. Drop. The heavens cry tonight.
The stars have been prisoned above
By clouds that devoured their light.
Shadow of an eagle hunting a white dove.

Drip. Drop. I feel your tears tonight
On my cheeks. I can't tell if its mine
Or yours. No moon nor moonlight
To reflect upon the sorrow undivine.

Drip. Drop. Drip. Drop. Drip. Drop.
End feels so far, and water clings
To me and my second skin and
My soul feels so drenched in this
That I feel like I'd never be dry.
As heavens cry. So do I.

Drive

A man is a simple creature
Like water left lonely
Will stagnate and rot.
Kept coursing like river's vein
Ever driving on a road
Where the destination unknown
In midst of sun and rain.
The fluid finds purpose,
A life beyond where it began.
Whether it was win or lose
Sometimes ends up within a life.
Yet never has a man who has
Reached everything they dreamt of
Sat and thought i hath won
For long until the itch of life
The true lie of modernity
Sucess does not lie
In the destination
But rather the drive of getting there.

When the journey's over
Take a pint and a hiatus.
Then open up the map
Pick the next path
And resuscitate the engine.
Get back on the road.

Upon the King's Throne

Upon the King's Throne
Sits above all of the realms
Tis' a lonely place.

Shiver

By the silence that slices through the cloudless,
Moonless night. Shivers surround the skin
In utter stings of sharpness like sharks
Savouring the stench of sepsis and sound
Of sinew in shock. The soul shatters
Like shell over starkest stone as eye
See it break over songs unsung.

Indeed, shivering cold out inside
In the cloudless, moonless night.

Simple things

Sometimes I wish for simple things
No debates or words to be fought
Just a pure reflection of who we are
Seen through a pristine pool of thought

Simply wish we are who are sought
Whether amidst hell or Eden
Like a tawny sparrow merely sings
Her quiet rhymes for her wren
